Actress Brittany Murphy died today at the tender age of just 32...
TMZ.com reports Murphy went into full cardiac arrest early Sunday and could not be revived.
The site reports a 911 call was made at 8:00 Am from a home in Los Angeles that is listed as belonging to her husband, Simon Monjack. Apparently Murphy's mom discovered her unconscious in the shower. The paramedics arrived, quickly determined Murphy was in full cardiac arrest and immediately administered Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). They continued CPR in route to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center-- several miles away -- and Murphy was unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Murphy had a memorable supporting role in the 1995 comedy Clueless opposite Alicia Silverstone's Cher...From there, she won roles in Drop Dead Gorgeous and Drive, before winning some notices for her performance in Girl, Interrupted. Bigger parts followed, including leads in Cherry Falls, Don't Say A Word and an emotional turn co-staring with rapper Eminem in 8 Mile. She appeared in Just Married with then-boyfriend Ashton Kutcher and Uptown Girls with Dakota Fanning.
