Producers Gabe Polsky and Alan Polsky have optioned the film rights to author Jonathan Lethem's 1994 cult novel "Gun, With Occasional Music: says The Hollywood Reporter.
The kitchy sci-fi noir tale follows a private eye through Oakland and San Francisco as he looks into the murder of a prominent urologist.
The story has among plot super-smart children called "baby-heads," erotic nerve swapping, debit cards holding one's karma and a menacing kangaroo that works for the mob.
Might the Polsky boys recruit their Bad Lieutenant Port Of Call New Orleans lead Nicolas Cage to star--Just a thought...
