Superman To Fly Again!!

Wow! Super News...Literally...

Deadline Hollywood Daily reports that "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight" director Christopher Nolan will 'godfather' the next Superman movie

Nicknamed "Superman 3.0", by Nikki Finke and Mike Fleming Warner Bros.and Legendary Pictures will essentially reboot the franchise and have enlisted Nolan's help to 'mentor' the film's development and production. Nolan is highly unlikely to direct but would likely take on a major producer role while a more unknown but emerging promising talent to take the director's chair.

Despite Bryan Singer's "Superman Returns", the film will NOT be a continuation of that film which suffered budgetary overruns and ended up with so-so box-office. The project is still very much in the earliest of developmental stages so its tone and content are as yet unknown.

While I trust Nolan completely, I have to temper my excitement here--only because it's Supes and my history starting with the '78 classic film and then getting ahead of myself with Singer taking on Supes Returns.

Happy Yes- But With Fingers Crossed...

Nolan also seems to be on board to direct a third Batman movie, for which he has apparently 'hatched an idea'.
