Shanley Caswell (TV's "Bones") and Spencer Locke (TV's "Cougar Town") have joined the cast of the $10 million indie teen horror-comedy "Detention" says The Hollywood Reporter.
The story centers on teens who must survive their final year of high school. Standing in their way is a slasher-movie killer who has seemingly come to life. at There are also said to be elements of time travel involved.
Back to the Future meets Scream I guess...
Caswell will play a cute but awkward girl trying to connect with her school crush (Josh Hutcherson). Locke will play the school's head cheerleader.
Dane Cook also stars.
Joe Kahn ("Torque") and Mark Palermo wrote the script.from which Kahn will direct
He is also co-producing the pic with Richard Weager, Maryann Tanedo and David Kang..
No release date is set yet--But shooting kicks off this month in Los Angeles.
