Sony Pictures wants a female writer to adapt Sheila Weller's book Girls Like Us for the big screen says The Playlist. The story views the careers of musicians Carly Simon Joni Mitchell and Carole King through the lens of the 1960s era and how their success helped shape music and feminist culture.
The film has been termed a "priority project".
