Cholodenko to Have a “No Good, Very Bad Day” with Fox

Lisa Cholodenko’s film The Kids Are All Right earned four Oscar nominations, one of which was for the script Cholodenko wrote with Stuart Blumberg. Now she looks to tackle the helm of a popular children’s tale.

According to Variety, she’ll direct an adaptation of Judith Viorst’s Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. Rob Lieber plans to write the script for Fox. It could even spin off into another kid-targeted franchise for the studio, as Diary of a Wimpy Kid did.
