Ant Man: Trio Of Potential Directors

"Guardians Of The Galaxy" director James Gunn may have taken himself out of the running to replace Edgar Wright after he vacated the job of directing Marvel's "Ant-Man"...worry not, Heat Vision claims to have a short list of replacements being considered to take over.

Their sources say Rawson Marshall Thurber ("Dodgeball," "We're the Millers"), Adam McKay ("Anchorman") and Ruben Fleischer ("Zombieland," "Gangster Squad") are among a group of directors that are meeting with the studio.

It's a rather interesting list since 2 of 3 directors are known mostly for charting comedies.

Thurber reportedly has an edge according to The Wrap which says McKay's work and Fleischer's new baby commitments have pushed them to the back of the line.

Marvel still has every intention of sticking to its proposed July 17th 2015 release date.
