City And Machete Sequel Will Film This Year Says R-Rod

Speaking to Risky Biz Blog at SXSW Robert Rodriguez says that he'll go into production on both the "Machete" and "Sin City" sequels this year.

"Machete Kills" will begin shooting next month and "Sin City 2" will likely see cameras roll in the Summer--meaning that both films would likely heading for a likely 2013 release.

Rodriguez has also formed the production label Quickdraw Animation which has two films in the pipeline- an untitled family movie, and the new version of the anthology feature "Heavy Metal".

Both of these pics have finished scripts and are moving into pre-production.
