Jeffrey Wright is set to replace Forest Whitaker in the thriller "A Single Shot" says Variety.
The pic follows a hunter (Sam Rockwell) who accidentally shoots a teenage girl while illegally poaching deer. Trying to dispose of her body, he stumbles on a small fortune and is forced into an atmospheric game of cat and mouse between himself and some backwater criminals.
Jason Isaacs and William H. Macy have also joined the cast.
David M. Rosenthal ("Janie Jones") directs from a screenplay by Matthew F. Jones who in turn adapted his own book.
Chris Coen, Aaron L. Gilbert, Keith Kjarval Jeff Rice Margot Hand and John Brooks Klingenbeck are producing the pic
Production kicked off in Vancouver last week.
