Noah Emmerich ("Super 8," "Warrior") is in talks to join Guillaume Canet's 1970's-set crime thriller "Blood Ties" says Deadline.
An adaptation of the French novel "Les Liens du sang", the story centers on a younger brother (Billy Crudup) who has to ask his ex-convict older brother (Clive Owen,) to go back into the underworld to help out the family.
Zoe Saldana and Marion Cotillard are set to play love interests. Matthias Schoenaerts has been offered a role in the film. Mila Kunis and James Caan co-star.
Canet who starred in the 2008 French film version and James Gray co-wrote the adapted script.
Alain Attal and John Lesher will produce the pic.
Production is set to kick off in April in New York.
