Expendables 2 WILL Be Rated R

It was reported last month that action star Chuck Norris essentially told the team making The Expendables 2 that he would not have signed to be in the sequel without assurances that the film would be rated PG-13 and not R like 2010's The Expendables

Now it seems that someone has changed their mind. 

Series star Sylvester Stallone tells StalloneZone that "after taking in all the odd rumors and hearsay, Expendables 2 is an R."

While the Motion Picture Association of America hasn't given any official rating to the sequel yet, with five months to go before its debut there's plenty of time left to edit.

If Sly's claims are true the sequel will follow the first film's through line- a rough and brutal action film that works as good counter-programming to all the PG-13 FX-driven pics that slam the cineplex over the summer months

Arnold Schwarzenegger Bruce Willis Mickey Rourke Jason Statham Scott Adkins Jet Li and JCVD also star with Liam Hemsworth appearing as one of the film's newcomers. Tennis star Novak Djokovic making his feature film acting debut.

Con Air's Simon West called action. Plot deets are scarce right now but claims are that Willis and JCVD are the bad guys this time 'round seems likely
