A biopic is in the works about late Wu-Tang Clan rapper Ol Dirty Bastard says HipHopDX.
Titled Dirty White Boy the true story follows Jarred Weisfeld, a 22-year-old VH1 employee from the suburbs who becomes friends with the notorious figure and it follows their misadventures right up until the time of Ol' Dirty Bastard's untimely death in 2004.
Brent Hoff wrote the script from which first time helmer Joaquin Baca-Asay will call action
Michael Kenneth Williams, best known for his role as Omar Little from the cable series "The Wire", and Chalky on Boardwalk Empire will star as the controversial hip-hop star
Weisfeld and the rapper's mother Cherry Jones have given their full support and cooperation
Lars Knudsen, Jay Van Hoy and Todd Hagopian will produce the biopic
