Meloni Hits Big Time In Small Time

Christopher Meloni has won the lead role in writer/director Joel Surnow's semi-autobiographical indie drama "Small Time" says Variety.

The story follows a used car salesman who’s still in love with his ex-wife and has a son who wants to skip college and enter the family business.

Devon Bostick (Diary of a Wimpy Kid, pictured) has been cast as the son, and Dean Norris is in talks to play Meloni's business partner.

Surnow who co-created TV's 24 will also produce the pic.

Production is set to start next month.
