Gyllenhaal Drives Past The Exit For Motor City

Talk about turning on a dime--About a day or so ago--it was reported that Jake Gyllenhaal was tipped to replace Dominic Cooper in the Albert Hughes revenge thriller "Motor City....And just as Cooper left the pic to bow out over scheduling issues---Deadline reports that similar issues have forced Gyllenhaal to also pass on the project.

Gyllenhaal wanted to push the start date back, but producers Joel Silver and Andrew Rona weren't willing to do that--And the search for a lead goes on

The story follows a small time crook who is framed and sent to jail, only to go after those who put him there after he is released wanting to get back the woman he loves (Amber Heard).

Gary Oldman will play a kingpin in Motor City who has his hooks into the woman.

Chad St. John’s screenplay is unique in that it only has but one line of dialogue and made it on to Hollywood’s Black List back in 2009, the list of the year’s best unproduced scripts

Shooting still hopes to begin this Spring.
