Gyllenhaal Reved For Motor City

Jake Gyllenhaal is now tipped to replace Dominic Cooper in the Albert Hughes revenge thriller "Motor City" says Variety.

The story follows a small time crook (Gyllenhaal) who is framed and sent to jail, only to go after those who put him there after he is released wanting to get back the woman he loves (Amber Heard).

Gary Oldman will play a kingpin in Motor City who has his hooks into the woman.

Cooper left the film due to a scheduling issue with Roger Donaldson's international thriller "Cities"

Chad St. John’s screenplay is unique in that it only has but one line of dialogue and made it on to Hollywood’s Black List back in 2009, the list of the year’s best unproduced scripts

Joel Silver and Andrew Rona will produce the picture

Production kicks off in April in Berlin
