Metallica 3-D Film Nabs Director

The Heavy Metal band Metallica picked Nimród Antal ("Predators," "Kontroll") to direct an upcoming 3D feature film about the group reports Market Wire.

The pic will combine narrative and concert footage starring the band and their fans.

Charlotte Huggins will produce the pic.

Antal says "we are going to harness the powerful and almighty energy of Metallica's live shows, inject a narrative into it, and shoot it in 3D to elevate the entire experience."

Filming starts this August for a release next Summer.
