Walsh Chases Cat Six

Matt Walsh has joined the found-footage natural disaster thriller once called Category Six says Deadline.

The script by John Swetnam, follows a group of high-school students documenting the progression of, and the aftermath of a devastating tornado.

Walsh will play Pete, a storm chaser looking to get a picture of the eye of a tornado.

Steve Quale ("Final Destination 5") will call the shots--he is also known for his work as James Cameron's visual effects supervisor and second unit director on "Avatar" and "Titanic".

Todd Garner will produce the film.
