Madden And Hall Make "A Promise"

"Game of Thrones" co-star Richard Madden and Rebecca Hall will star in Patrice Leconte's period drama "A Promise" says Variety.

Director Leconte and Jérôme Tonnerre wrote the script set in pre-World War I Germany that sees Madden as an engineer who goes to work for a wealthy older man and ends up falling for the benefactor's wife (Hall). The war forces them to part and the relationship is put on hold until the two meet nine years later.

Marc Missonnier and Olivier Delbosc will produce the film

Production will begin at the end of the year
