The story centers on two rival treasure hunters who specialize in salvaging plane wreckage. When they both hear about the Holy Grail of plane wrecks in the Amazon, the set off on a race to see who can get there first.
Michael Stokes wrote the original script, but Cohen will perform a rewrite, under the terms of his deal.
Johnny Martin, David Raines, Kevin King and Mark Canton are producing the film.
Avi Lerner, Trevor Short, Boaz Davidson and John Thompson are executive producing.
The project has been in the works for some time. Before he headed off to jail--John McTiernan was attached to direct with Hayden Christensen set to star.
