Schoenaerts And Goode Are "Far From The Madding Crowd".

The Daily Mail reports "Rust and Bone" star Matthias Schoenaerts has been offered a role and "Watchmen" actor Matthew Goode is rumored to be joining the new adaptation of author Thomas Hardy's book "Far From The Madding Crowd".



Carey Mulligan is being eyed to star as Bathsheba Everdene, a woman being courted by three men.

Schoenaerts and Goode are being offered the roles of two of those three men - the shepherd Gabriel Oak, and the handsome soldier Sergeant Troy respectively.

The third role, farm owner William Boldwood, has yet to be cast.

Thomas Vinterberg will call action here using an adapted script by David Nicholls

Production hopes to begin this Summer.
