Variety reports that Relativity Media has acquired the rights to Skip Brittenham and Brian Haberlin's sci-fi graphic novel "Anomaly".
Set in the year 2717, humanity is now living on off-world colonies controlled by a single corporation, the Conglomerate, which raids other planets for their resources. The story follows a disgraced conglomerate enforcer who leads a rag tag group of explorers on a first contact mission to a newly discovered planet that turns out to be a deadly trap.
Edward Ricourt (Now You See Me) writes the adapted screenplay.
Joe Roth, Ryan Kavanaugh and Tucker Tooley are attached to produce.
