"Big Game" With Jackson As POTUS Gets Going This Week

Jim Broadbent, Ray Stevenson and Mehmet Kurtulus have signed on to join in action adventure tale "Big Game" says THR.

The story follows a 13-year-old boy (Onni Tommila) who decides to endure a test of manhood by spending a day and night alone in a vast local forest, armed with a bow and arrow. Things turn complicated when Air Force One is shot down by terrorists, and he comes upon the POTUS (Samuel L. Jackson) who survived the crash via the plane's escape pod. Together, they must save themselves from terrorists closing in on their position.

German actor Mehmet Kurtulus (Short Sharp Shock) also stars.

This film marks the English-language directing debut of Jalmari Helander's ("Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale").

Will Clarke, Andy Mayson and Jens Meurer will produce.

Production begins tomorrow across Bavaria and at Bavaria Film Studios.
