Bond 24: Chiwetel Ejiofor Buzzing Around Villain Role

Twelve Years A Slave star Chiwetel Ejiofor is reportedly in the front of the line to play the villain in Bond 24 says The Wrap.


 The report cautions that Ejiofor hasn't even begun formal talks let alone received an official offer, but he is widely presumed to be the frontrunner in a the group of actors under consideration.

There's two other key roles to be cast - the main Bond girl, and a Scandinavian woman with a troubled past who has a casual fling with Bond. The Daily Mail claims that Oscar winner Penelope Cruz is wanted for the female lead

Sam Mendes is directing the film using John Logan's script.

Daniel Craig is back as Bond--we will also see the return of Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw and Naomie Harris reprising their roles from "Skyfall" as M, Q, and Moneypenny.

Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson will produce the new film

The sequel is currently targeting a November 6th 2015 release.
