Sony Set To Explore With "Captain Nemo"

Heat Vision reports that Sony Pictures has picked up "Smallville" creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar's script "Captain Nemo".

The story promises a new take on the iconic character created by author Jules Verne for "20, 000 Leagues Under the Sea" "The Mysterious Island" and "Journey Through the Impossible". Nemo is a scientific genius who roams the depths of the sea in his submarine, The Nautilus.

 Joe Roth and Palak Patel ("Maleficent") are producing the film while Gough and Millar will executive produce.
