Producer/writer Simon Kinberg tells Empire
that they did consider using the fan favorite character Cable for in Bryan Singer's "X-Men Days of Future Past".- in
fact he was being looked at for a pivotal role, the mutant whose mind
would be sent back in time.
"Initially, we explored the notion of Bishop being sent
back, Cable being sent back, a new character being sent back, who we
could cast old and then sort of cast in the prominent part of his life
as a new young actor."
It was ultimately decided that Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) would be the one
sent back into the past. Bishop (Omar Sy) is in the movie in a
smaller role.
Meanwhile, various pieces of concept art from costume illustrator Phillip Boutte Jr. are now online and offer alternate costumes that were considered for characters in the time spanning sequel.
Michael Fassbender's younger Magneto in a purple crushed velvet single-piece pantsuit stands out
Another one does as well because the character wasn't in the final film-Jubilee.
Actress Kea Wong played the character in both "X2"
and "X-Men: The Last Stand". Actress Katrina Florece played her in the
first "X-Men" pic.
Two designs for her appearance in 'Days' are on display over at Concept Art World
