“Pushing Daisies” alum Anna Friel and “Fargo” series star Oliver Platt are set to
join the horror comedy "Master Cleanse" says The Wrap.
Johnny Galecki plays Paul a heartbroken man who decides to restart his life,
joining a spiritual retreat designed to cleanse negative toxins from his
body. But things take a turn when the participants discover that the
cleanse releases something far greater than everyday toxins and
traumatic experiences.
Friel replaces Chloë Sevigny in the
role of a woman in slowly warms up to the male lead character.
Anjelica Huston also stars in the film.
The project marks the feature debut of writer-director Bobby Miller.
Jordan Horowitz and Aaron L. Gilbert will produce the film
Production is set to kick off in Vancouver.
