Dakota Johnson Will Live "Forever, Interrupted"

Dakota Johnson ("Fifty Shades of Grey") is attached to star in and executive produce a film adaptation of author Taylor Jenkins Reid's debut novel "Forever, Interrupted" says Deadline.

The story follows Elsie (Johnson), a young woman who elopes after a whirlwind romance and forges an unlikely relationship with her mother-in-law after her husband suddenly dies.

No director or scribe has been pegged yet.

Amy Baer and Nathan Kahane are set to produce the film

Joe Drake Johnson, John Middleton and Roy Lee are serving as executive producers.

Baer called the novel “exquisitely written and heart-wrenchingly honest…And Dakota will be exquisite as Elsie, who has to deal with the sudden loss of a great love. She is a deeply thoughtful, sensitive and smart woman and actress.”

The first trailer for "Fifty Shades of Grey" is due in a few weeks. Johnson recently wrapped on Scott Cooper’s “Black Mass” opposite Johnny Depp.
