Reza Aslan's "Zealot" Getting Adapted

Deadline has it that Harry Potter film series producer David Heyman will do the same for the film adaptation of author Reza Aslan's controversial book "Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth".

James Schamus will write the adapted screenplay.

The author says there are historical facts about the Jesus’ life, rather than the miracles that Christians believe he performed.
  
Random House published the book in July 2013. At that tine numerous Christian pundits said that  Aslan, a practicing Muslim, couldn’t possibly be qualified to write about Jesus.
