ScreenDailly reports that cameras will soon roll on the dramatic comedy Demolition.
Jake Gyllenhaal stars as a young investment banker whose
life collapses following the tragic death of his wife. Tearing apart
what little he has left trying to figure out where he went wrong, he is
rescued by a a pot smoking single mother (Naomi Watts) that he meets during a chance encounter.
Dallas Buyers Club director Jean-Marc Vallée will call action on the pic from a screenplay written by Bryan Sipe (Alpha Mail).
John Malkovich, Lianne Halfon Thad, Trent Luckinbill Molly Smith and Russell Smith will produce the pic.
Jason Reitman and Helen Estabrook are executive producing here.
Production is slated to
begin in New York City on September 15th.
The project will be shopped around at the Toronto International Film Festival.
