Dwayne Johnson is about to ink a deal to star in the action drama "Faster" reports Variety.Johnson plays an ex-con who finds himself avenging the death of his brother, murdered 10 years earlier when the two were double-crossed during a robbery.
The film will reunite Johnson with Phil Joanou (who worked with him on Gridiron Gang).
Joe and Tony Gayton (who wrote The Shepherd: Border Patrol and Murder By Numbers respectively). wrote the script.
After doing family fare like The Game Plan,"Race to Witch Mountain" and the upcoming "Tooth Fairy,"
It's nice to see the Rock taking on more dramatic stuff.
Shooting is set to begin in August
