Costner Battles Litttle War

Kevin Costner stars in and will direct the World War II action pic "A Little War of Our Own" says Variety.
The story follows a sheriff who aims to keep his small town from descending into violence.

Not yet certain what the cause of that violence is, though the second major role is that of a German U-boat commander.
Dan Gordon who also wrote the 1994 Costner film "Wyatt Earp," wrote this screenplay.

Armyan Bernstein will produce the pic with shooting kicking off in the Fall

Costner recently starred with Ben Affleck and Tommy Lee Jones in John Wells’ feature film directing debut The Company Men
