Santoro Talks 300 Follow Up

Actor Rodrigo Santoro tells Omelete (via Collider) that he's discussing the possibility of reprising the role Xerxes in the upcoming sequel "300: Battle of Artemisia".

"Let’s see what happens. It’s a long story, my friend. A long story… I think there is a little…some of his backstory. Some explanation but it will be very quick" says the actor about the nature of his part.

He admits however they are still working on a script and it has been a while since he saw a version of it.

Zack Snyder and Kurt Johnstad's script is based on the upcoming graphic-novel sequel by Frank Miller.

Sullivan Stapleton has won the lead role as Themosticles--the general of the Greek army. Eva Green co-stars in the role of Artemisia, the ruthless, gold-covered goddess who persuades king-turned-god Xerxes to amass his army and helps lead the charge against the Greek forces. Jamie Blackley will play Calisto, a teen whose desire to become the heroic man/soldier his father was leads the 16-year-old to become a leader of a small band of soldiers.

The giant battle at the center of the film is said to be happening simultaneously with the events of the original "300."

Noam Murro will call action

Mark Canton, Bernie Goldmann, Zack, and his wife Deborah Snyder and Gianni Nunnari will produce the picture
