31 Days Of Horror Day 15:Sleepaway Camp

The director Jason Christopher goes to Sleepaway Camp and barely survives--as this special month long event celebrating horror forgets to pack a night light!

Damn, this movie is fun. It’s a horror movie with this crazy twist at the end! This movie has some fun kills but just the ending alone is worth sitting through the entire movie, if you’re not a horror fan.

Slightly disturbed and painfully shy Angela Baker is sent away to summer camp with her cousin. Not long after Angela's arrival, things start to go horribly wrong for any camper with sinister or less than honorable intentions.

Felissa Rose plays Angela Baker. You can catch her now, still working and doing the acting thing. She was pretty young in 1983 when this movie was released. I don’t know how her parents let her star in the movie considering the ending. I kind of want to see how the script was written for that, HAH! She recently wrapped up filming Dead.TV, a movie that the killer from my flick produced,.. Yes Hunter Isth can produce movies now, just kidding, Brian Gallagher produced it. Rose is even married to CKY’s, singer-A favorite band of mine.

I purchased this movie when it came out on DVD as part of one of those multi disc deals, with the first three movies in it. Sleepaway Camp spawned off 5 more films that weren’t as good as the first one but are still highly entertaining.

So definitely check out Sleepaway Camp, a great fun horror flick.

16 days till Halloween.
