Carrey To Lead "Loomis Fargo"

Jim Carrey will star in the heist-themed action-comedy "Loomis Fargo" says THR.

Based on the real life 1997 theft of an armoured car in North Carolina, Carrey would play the ex-military leader of a band of Southern armored car guards who pull off a huge heist of $17 million.

"Up All Night" creator Emily Spivey wrote the original draft of the script which numerous writers have taken a crack at it including Danny McBride and Jody Hill.

Jared Hess ("Napoleon Dynamite") is directing the project while Lorne Michaels and John Goldwyn are producing the film.
