"Snow White And The Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders is close to making a deal to helm the sci-fi movie "The Juliet" says Deadline.
An adaptation of author Alfred Bester's short story, the tale is described as "Bonnie and Clyde
in space", or the even more vague "romance set against the backdrop of a futuristic science fiction landscape".
Henry Bean will pen the adapted script.
Charles Roven, Alex Gartner and Frank Beddor are producing.
Production hopes to begin in the Spring.
Universal Pictures has made Sanders an offer to direct the Van Helsing reboot for them. No word whether "Juliet" will impact that film.
