Michael Keaton, Emma Stone, Naomi Watts and Zach Galifianakis have joined the cast of the dark comedy "Birdman" says THR.
The story follows a former actor (Keaton) who once played an iconic superhero. He is busy mounting a Broadway play based on author Raymond Carver's short story in a bid to reclaim past glory. However, the play’s egotistical leading man threatens to throw everything into chaos.
Stone will play Keaton's fresh from rehab daughter and assistant. Watts will be an actress in the play, and Galifianakis will play the production's conniving producer.
Alejandro González Iñárritu will direct using a script he co-wrote with Nicolás Giacobone.
Alexander Dinelaris and Armando Bo. Inarritu, Robert Graf and John Lesher will produce the film
Production kicks off in early April.
