Based on author Emma Donoghue's novel and inspired by the true story of Elizabeth Fritzel, a woman who escaped after being held captive for 24 years in a basement, where she gave birth to seven children.
Donoghue wrote the adapted screenplay for director Lenny Abrahamson.
Ed Guiney is producing the pic. No production schedule was given.
