Jon M. Chu Poised To Helm "Now You See Me 2"

The Wrap reports that "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" director Jon M. Chu is reportedly the frontrunner to direct the sequel "Now You See Me 2".


Louis Leterrier.s 2013 original Now You See Me came outta nowhere last Summer and surprised the industry making a whopping $117.7 million domestically, and $351 million worldwide--amid a sea of brand name blockbusters.

The first film that centers on a FBI unit locked in a game of cat and mouse against a super-team of the world's greatest illusionists, who pull off a series of bank heists during their performances.

Jesse Eisenberg Morgan Freeman Sir Michael Caine Mark Ruffalo Isla Fisher, Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson Dave Franco Common and Mélanie Laurent starred and are expected back.

Chu just wrapped work on the live-action film version of the classic 1980s cartoon and Hasbro toys "Jem and the Holograms".
