Nicolas Winding Refn Finally Doing "I Walk With The Dead"

"Drive" and "Only God Forgives" director Nicolas Winding Refn announced on Friday via Twitter that the horror-thriller "I Walk with the Dead" will be his next film.

The project was originally set to be Refn's immediate follow up to "Drive," with Carey Mulligan pegged as the female lead. but 'Forgives' took priority.

Playwright Polly Stenham penned the screenplay and told the London Evening Standard that the pic is an "all-female horror." event. “He’s got a lot of stick for doing films some people think are violently misogynistic,” Stenham said. “So he approached me with the idea of doing something different.” To that end the script is said to contain a lot of sex.

The writer also added, when asked whether it'll be more cerebral or viscerally violent, that “It’s going to have a bit of everything.”
