X-Men: Days of Future Past Gets Extended Cut On Disc

Producer Lauren Shuler Donner was recently asked about whether the rumored director's cut of Bryan Singer's "X-Men Days of Future Past" will be coming to disc.

She confirmed on Twitter that it is "coming later this year". Though not stated in the tweet, this is expected to be an extended version that includes more of the original trilogy cast - most notably  Anna Paquin's Rogue.

Writer Simon Kinberg previously indicated the subplot in which Rogue becomes much more a key part of the narrative, including the scene where the Future Professor Charles Xavier (Sir Patrick Stewart), and  Future Magneto (Sir Ian McKellen) break her out of a Sentinels -guarded prison, will likely NOT be a part of the extended cut.

Instead it will likely be as part of the film's deleted scenes collection.

"Days" is the biggest earner of the year so far both domestically and internationally. It currently doesn't have a disc release date.
