Katie Holmes Charts "All We Had"

Actress Katie Holmes will make her directorial debut on "All We Had," a film adaptation of the newly released novel by author Annie Weatherwax says ScreenDaily.

The story follows a single mother and her thirteen-year-old daughter who are on the brink of poverty. The soon find an unlikely home in a quirky small town.

Josh Boone ("The Fault in Our Stars") is tipped to write the adapted screenplay.

Jane Rosenthal and Berry Welsh are producing the film.

There's no word on when production will begin.
