Sony Moves Ahead With "Jump Street" 3

Deadline reports that Rodney Rothman, who co-wrote 22 Jump Street has been hired by Sony Pictures to pen the next film in the franchise "23 Jump Street".


Phil Lord and Christopher Miller have yet to commit to return as directors, but they remain as producers and will oversee Rothman's work.

Jonah Hill and co-star Channing Tatum are expected back both in front of the camera and as officers Schmidt (Hill) and Jenko (Tatum) as well as executive producers.

"22 Jump Street" made $320 million in box-office worldwide off of a $50 million budget.
