Set during the early days of Viking life, the film reportedly offers a fresh look at Viking culture and is based on the classic tales from the legendary Icelandic Sagas.
Kormakur and Ólafur Egilsson co-wrote the script.
Marc Platt, Adam Siegel, Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, and Nathalie Marciano will produce the epic that Kormakur has reportedly been trying to get made for the past fifteen years.
