Mandalay Entertainment has optioned the film rights to Joe Hill's Febuary 9th 2010 novel "Horns" says Variety.
A love story driven by horror and vengeance, the tale sees a 26-year-old man who wakes up one morning from a blackout hangover and finds horns sprouting out of his head.
As the horns grow bigger by the day, the reason why seems to lie in the unsolved murder of his girlfriend.
Hill, son of Stephen King will serve as executive producer on the pic.
Peter Guber and Cathy Schulman will produce.
Hill's debut novel “Heart Shaped Box” is also coming the big screen scripted and directed by Neil Jordan (The Crying Game).
