Holy Moses!

A biopic of biblical figure Moses is in the works says Variety.

The story will follow Moses from his near death as an infant to his adoption into the Egyptian royal family, his defiance of the Pharaoh and deliverance of the Hebrews from enslavement.

The trade says the story will be told using "the same green screen strategy as 300 so it will feel more like that picture or Braveheart than The Ten Commandments, the 1956 Cecil B. DeMille film (with Charlton Heston)."

Adam Cooper and Bill Collage, who recently worked for Timur Bekmambetov on his gestating remake the story of Moby Dick are writing the script as well.

Peter Chernin and Dylan Clark will produce.

Moses 300-style-Ulp...!
