While attending South Korea's Pusan International Film Festival , director Bryan Singer confirmed that he's interested in returning to the " X-Men " film series adding that he evrn discussed the possibility with the studio says The Associated Press.
He says, "I'm still looking to possibly returning to the franchise. I've been talking to Fox about it. I love Hugh Jackman. I love the cast."
He said he likes to ‘trick audiences into thinking they’re seeing fireworks, but they’re learning about themselves and listening to what I have to say.’”
The filmmaker helmed the first two installments in the comic book movie series, but turned down the chance to direct 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand so he could work on Superman Returns.."
After seeing X-Men Origins: Wolverine, this past summer's prequel which chronicled the life of Jackman's mutant character, Singer admits he is in talks with Fox studios about being put in charge of another spin-off.
I actually would like Singer to take on X-Men: First Class--if he were to return to the world of X-essentially giving him a do-over...
