Actor Gerard Butler will star in and produce the sports pic Slide, says The L.A. Times.
The film, written by Robbie Fox, sees a father (Butler) with a troubled past who come in to coach his son’s Little League baseball team.
The project, originally titled "Confessions of a Little League Coach", is now losing the baseball angle in favor of soccer.
Gabriele Muccino ("The Pursuit of Happyness") is circling the big chair.
Kevin Misher and Jonathan Mostow will produce the film
