-After weeks of rumors an official offer has been made to Colin Farell for the lead role of Douglas Quaid in Len Wiseman's remake of "Total Recall" says Variety. Tom Hardy and Michael Fassbender have been mentioned for the part as well

-Michele Mulroney and Kieran Mulroney are in negotiations to adapt the futuristic love story "Matched" says The Hollywood Reporter.

-Gerard Butler is in talks to star in the comic book film adaptation "Afterburn" for  Training Day director Antoine Fuqua says Deadline. The story is set a year after a solar flare has scorched half the surface of the planet and treasure hunters return to the dead lands to retrieve anything of value that survived.

-Mia Wasikowska will replace Amanda Seyfried in the play to film The Singular Life Of Albert Nobbs according to Bleeding Cool.

-Rosemarie DeWitt (Rachel Getting Married) has replaced Rachel Weisz in an untitled film from Lynn Shelton (Humpday) says  Variety Weisz and Emily Blunt were set to play sisters who end up fighting over a man.

-Was Katherine Heigl, fired from Adaline? Deadline first reported that Heigl was fired from the project - a claim her reps and the film's production company has since denied.

-Carey Mulligan will play the coveted role of Daisy Buchanan in Baz Luhrmann’s upcoming adaptation of The Great Gatsby reports Deadline. Luhrmann broke the news to the actress late Monday and has also provided a photo of Mulligan in full Daisy makeup taken during screen tests which were presented to the studio suits earlier today.

-Digital Spy now says that rumors that Zac Efron would star in the Akira remake are simply "not true".

-Jeremy Renner is NOT the new Snake Plissken in the remake of Escape from New York via The Wrap which had this quote "we can report with 100 percent confidence that no such offer has been extended... there is no deal and there is no involvement."
