- Hot Tub Time Machine's Steve Pink  will direct the remake of the upcoming remake of cult pic The Toxic Avenger.reports Deadline.

-Alden Ehrenreich (”Tetro”), David Paymer, Ben Chaplin, Don Novello and Joanne Whalley (at the suggestion by ex-husband and star Val Kilmer), have all joined the cast of Francis Ford Coppola‘s next project, the horror/thriller "Twixt Now And Sunrise" says The New York Times.

- John Carpenter is teaming up with award-winning Brazilian director Dennison Ramalho and writer Jeff Buhler to exec produce for a new horror movie called “The Hell Within” says Beyond Hollywood

-Hayden-Panettiere, Nikki Reed  and Rebecca De Mornay ("The Hand That Rocks The Cradle") are attached to star in the high school-set book to film thriller "Downers Grove" says The Hollywood Reporter. Written by author Bret Easton Ellis--the pic sees a high school in the Chicago suburb where every year, one senior dies a bizarre death before the end of the school year. -Paul Haggis tells The Los Angeles Times that his next project will be another ensemble drama along the lines of his Oscar-winning  "Crash". Bruce Willis and 50 Cent will star in the heist thriller "Set Up"- written and directed by Mike Gunther The story sees a gang of friends who become embroiled in the middle of a diamond heist reports Variety.

-Oren Peli ("Paranormal Activity") has signed on to direct "Eliza Graves" says Variety. From a short tale by Edgar Allan Poe the story centers on a Harvard Medical School graduate who takes a job at an insane asylum unaware it has been taken over by its occupants.

-Abigail Spencer Katee Sackhoff ("Battlestar Galactica" remake) and Cicely Tyson have joined the cast of "The Haunting in Georgia" says Heat Vision. In the film  Chad Michael Murray plays Andy Wyrick, the blue collar, no-nonsense husband to a young mother (Spencer) struggling with horrifying visions, a curse she shares with her wayward sister Joyce (Sackhoff).The mother now fears they have been passed on to her young daughter Heidi (newcomer Emily Alyn Lind). David Coggeshall wrote the script. Shooting kicks off later this month in Baton Rouge, Louisiana under the direction of Tom Elkins

-Steve Carell will star in a new comedy reports Vulture.The movie follows an aging rock star who finds an unopened letter from John Lennon where he learns that he actually fathered a son. Carell will play said son.

-Guy Pearce, Peter Stomare and Tom Hollander will star in the R-rated sci-fi actioner "Lockout" says Variety:. The film tells the story of a falsely convicted ex-government agent (Pearce) whose only chance of freedom is to accept a dangerous mission and rescue the president’s daughter (Maggie Grace) from rioting prisoners at an outer space maximum security prison.

-Kyra Sedgwick has joined the cast of "Man On A Ledge" reports Deadline.Shooting is underway in New York City on the film

-Ben Affleck has apparently been offered the lead role in Antoine Fuqua’s Consent to Kill an adaptation of the Vince Flynn book says slashfilm

-Ryan Gosling  has been offered the lead in Doug Liman‘s  new sci-fi film All You Need Is Kill says /Film The storyline combines a Groundhog Day plot device with a futuristic alien invasion storyline.  A young, inexperienced private is killed in action, only to be reborn the day before, forced to repeat his fate. Eventually, he becomes a better warrior (that, and other circumstances are changing), which might be the key to altering the outcome

-"Zombieland" writer Rhett Reese says we'll see all three incarnations of the character in the upcoming Deadpool" flick - Wade Wilson pre-Deadpool, his scarred face post-becoming Deadpool and having the mask on…While he and his writing partner Paul Wernick will also adapt the comic Cowboy Ninja Viking
