Mind Bending Berry

Following a screening of Frankie and Alice. Halle Berry confirmed she will play a role in Andy Wachowski and Lana Wachowski’s next film, Cloud Atlas, based on the science fiction tome by David Mitchell reports NataliePortman.com.

Berry says “I’m going to do a movie probably in the summer with the Wachowskis…..A really interesting movie [that is] sort of what they did for ‘The Matrix’ they have another really amazing idea that’s sort of gonna stretch our brains even further. And so I’m really excited about that and that’s probably gonna be in the summer. And that’s with Tom Hanks and Natalie Portman.”

While Berry's involvement is "not a done deal yet", she seems pretty certain it's a go

The ensemble drama spans six different story lines over a millennium, with each tale is revealed to be a story read (or watched) by the main character in the next. The stories in order include an American notary's voyage across the Pacific in 1850, a young English musician working as an amanuensis in 1930's Belgium, a 1970's Californian journalist investigating corruption around a nuclear plant, a modern day British publisher who becomes confined to a nursing home, a cloned political prisoner being executed in a dystopian near future Korea, and a Hawaiian tribesman in a post-apocalyptic distant future telling a story around a campfire.

No word how this will affect production of the Wachowski's R-rated Iraq war gay romance Cobalt Neural 9
